Just produce a photograph of you and your pet to enter this competition! The competition has been aptly titled "We've Got the Look" for pet owners to showcase the likeness between pet owner and pet. Similarities shared between owner and pet need not always be in the form of physical likeness. Be creative and take this opportunity to find out what similarities you share with your pet. And explore how you can best capture this irreplaceable bond on film.
Members from the SPCA staff have been invited to judge this competition with the criteria of originality, and the similarity between owner and pet. A preliminary round will shortlist photographs to be exhibited at the SMU Animal Day 2009, held on 21 March 2009. (More details on SMU Animal Day will be entered in the next post. Do look out for it!) Live voting will be held on SMU Animal Day and the winner of the competition will be announced at the event. Attractive prizes sponsored by SPCA await the top 3 winners of this competition.
Interested? Here's what you have to do.
Send in a photograph of you and your pet, which has no less than 640 x 480 pixels. (only one photograph per applicant).
Include a short write-up (100-200 words) in response to these questions:
1) In what ways are you and your pet alike?
2) What makes your photograph special?
Submit your application via email to spreadthesmiles09@gmail.com. A confirmation email requesting for participants' personal particulars will be sent to you once your email has been received, so please check your email.
Deadline for submission is 14 March 2009.
Do note that SPCA will gain full ownership of all photographs submitted to this competition and will be able to reproduce the photographs freely afterward.
